This DOC file was written by David Roper for users of DRMENU. WCED
was presented to David Roper for the exclusive use in the DRMENU
system.
I, David Roper, named the editor WCED to give proper credit to Bill
for his generosity. Thus, the "WC" of WCED is for William Cravener,
its author and my friend. Bill uses a similar editor in his
(excellant) BOBCAT program. However, this WCED editor was done for
DRMENU - just for DRMENU users. Bill has a great MENU system also, and
you might want to try out his MENU system on COMPUSERVE. Sure, it
competes! ...and we're still friends.
WCED is very small and yet powerful enough to do large jobs as long as
the file is less than 64k in length. It has an internal HELP screen
and constant reminders on its screen for its key functions. You can't
get confused!
You might try Bill's programs that he writes as FREEWARE also on
COMPUSERVE. Bill is a wonderful programmer. One of his most popular
programs -and I like it a lot- is called BOBCAT. Check it out and you
may never desire using XTREE again. He even has a "talking" clock
program - and it's still offered to you as FREEWARE. Try all of his
work. He's good.
To use WCED.COM as the DRMENU editor, use this as a dot line:
.EDITOR C:\UTIL\WCED.COM
Thank you, Bill, again for DRMENU's great, little editor. David Roper
